Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut is Coming This August

It has been nearly a year since Ghost of Tsushima released to critical acclaim on the PlayStation 4 and the game is now making its way onto the PlayStation 5 as well with Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut. This updated version of the game will come bundled with the original game, all previously released DLC, and a new chapter to Jin’s story and community-requested features.

Let’s start with Iki Island, which, just like the island of Tsushima, is a real place that was also invaded during this time in history. Join Jin as he investigates rumors of Mongol presence on this neighboring land which leads him down the dark parts of his own past as the fate of the island develops deeply personal stakes. This new content will be playable at the start of Act 2 in the main game storyline.

Even though the Director’s Cut will release on both PS4 and PS5, on the PlayStation 5, the game will have certain upgrades such as the use of haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the DualSense controller. The added power of the next-gen hardware will have decreased load times, enhanced 3D audio, and dynamic 4K resolution while targeting 60fps. Additionally, the PS5 version of the game will offer lip sync for Japanese voice-over for players who want a more authentic experience.
