After a little over a year in Steam Early Access, Curve Digital’s Embr is finally set to fully launch on consoles and PC. Developed by Muse Games, Embr is a frantic firefighting game where players are sent into the field to put out fires and rescue civilians solo or with other players online.

Along with the familiar gameplay that players experienced in Early Access, but the full release will also come with 2 new districts to explore 12 new levels, 13 new tools and upgrades, 5 new game modes, and daily and weekly missions. For players who have not played Embr, the game is not a full-blown sim and does not represent an authentic firefighting experience. Howard Tsao, Team Lead at Muse Games, says the following about the game:

“Embr is the ultimate have-a-go-hero adventure, where everyone from the paper boy to the Gran who lives at the end of your street could fill their day by coming to save you from a blaze in your house – even if that means throwing you out the window in the process. In Embr, the ends justify the utterly manic means.”

Embr is set to release on September 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, and Google Stadia. Physical editions of the game will release on the following day. The game features cross-play between PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. Embr is designed for the PS4 and X1 but can run on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S perfectly with backwards compatibility. Check out the release date trailer to see the game in action.
