Fall into the turn-based RPG EGGLIA: Rebirth as Chabo, who has just landed on the continent of Egglia. EGGLIA: Rebirth is a new port of Brownies’ popular mobile game, EGGLIA: Legend of the Redcap that was optimized for the Nintendo Switch. This new port provides players with updated visuals, graphics, and mechanics, and includes bags of new content, new unique characters, and exciting additional missions.

The game has a comforting feel with beautiful artwork designed by Shinichi Kameoka and Koji Tsuda, the artists behind the art style in the Secret of Mana series. As you navigate and explore Egglia as Chabo you will battle monsters with turn-based dice combat and uncover mythical eggs that you can hatch to unlock more of Egglia. In these new areas, you can explore and gather materials to create villages and homes for the NPCs you meet as you travel. You can upgrade and decorate the homes to create your own customized world.

President and CEO of Brownies, Shinichi Kameoka, had the following to say about EGGLIA: Rebirth:

It’s wonderful to be able to bring the world of EGGLIA to Nintendo Switch. Particularly in this iconic year for us at Brownies, which marks the 10th anniversary of the studio, and my 30th year working in game development. EGGLIA: Rebirth is a symbol of our own rebirth: the first game to be published by Brownies, as well as our 10th anniversary title… We hope everyone enjoys the new world of Egglia, which has been reborn while keeping all the things we loved about the original game.

The Switch version of the game has a lot of new features such as over 50 new events and new characters to interact with as well as more ways to connect with those characters through facial expressions and added effects at key points. On the Switch version, players will also be able to freely control the main character to explore the fantasy world of Egglia to their hearts’ content. On a more technical side, the interface has been redesigned to fit controller operations and there has been internal adjustments and balancing to make battles, obtaining items, and changing event flags more suitable for console gaming.

EGGLIA: Rebirth will be available for download globally on the Nintendo Switch on February 10 this year for $19.99. Pre-orders are available now. You can click here to check out the game’s trailer to get a look at the world of Egglia.
