Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase Confirmed for June 13

Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase Confirmed for June 13

It's that time of the year again. The birds are chirping. Pollen hangs in the air. And there's a non-stop flood of game announcements. Last week, we got the news that Summer Game Fest would be returning this year for three months of gaming events. Today, after weeks of rumors, we have confirmation that Xbox and Bethesda will be having their first games showcase, though let's be honest it's an E3 conference, since Microsoft bought ZeniMax Media.

We don't know too much about the event just yet, but, before we jump to rumors, here is what we do know. The event will be streamed on June 13 at 10AM PT. It will be 90 minutes long and packed with details about the Xbox games lineup for this holiday season, upcoming Xbox Game Pass titles, and more. The showcase will be streamed to the official Xbox Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook accounts.

Then there's the juicy stuff to talk about. Going into this showcase, it's fair to say that most people will be excited or expecting three games in particular: Halo Infinite, Elder Scrolls VI, and Starfield. I can confidently say that we will see Halo Infinite because it's expected to release later this year in time for the holiday season as Xbox was so specific to mention. Elder Scrolls VI, however, I don't expect to even hear be mentioned as that game is probably still years away from release. That leaves us with Starfield. According to Jeff Grubb, a reporter for VentureBeat, on Twitter, Starfield will be an Xbox and PC exclusive. Furthermore, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier claims, Starfield is not a 2021 release. The game is, at best, going to land holiday 2022. So it's best to go into this showcase expecting to see neither of Bethesda's tentpole titles.

Nonetheless, E3 season is here. And we are excited to hear about all the other great games that are coming out this year. We will of course cover the event on June 13 so be sure to check back a few weeks to read all the details. The Respawn Station team will also be live on Twitch to share our live reactions to the event in its 90-minute glory.
