Square Enix Announces London Mobile Studio

Square Enix announced today their new studio Square Enix London Mobile. The new studio’s focus will be creating high-quality, free-to-play mobile games and they already have two titles already in development. London Mobile is currently looking for new employees for their marketing and production teams to help bring these two titles as well as their future projects to players around the world. Ed Perkins, Studio Head at Square Enix London Mobile, had the following to say about the studio’s goals:

At Square Enix London Mobile, our goal is to move the world through play and in order to do this, we need to grow our team with even more unique voices, varieties of perspectives and creative energy. We have great games in development, access to Square Enix-owned IP and relationships with the world’s top entertainment companies, but our people will be the competitive advantage that fuels our success now and in the future.

Square Enix London Mobile is working with Navigator Games for an untitled Avatar: The Last Airbender game and for Tomb Raider Reloaded, they are working with Crystal Dynamics to create a nostalgic, action-arcade-style game that will showcase elements fans will recognize from the original Tomb Raider trilogy. Players will be able to play as the iconic Lara Croft as they solve puzzles, evade traps, and collect relics from around the world. Tomb Raider Reloaded is set to launch in 2022 on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
