Duke Nukem Forever Mission List

Our retrospective review podcast, Retro Grade, is back in 2026, and the first subscriber-voted game has been selected. After an infamously long development, Duke Nukem Forever was released in June of 2011. The game that hit store shelves might have told the story of Duke fighting against alien invaders, but DNF was a far cry from a critical and commercial successor to Duke Nukem 3D. Whether you’re playing it along with us or just checking up on how many levels you have left to roll credits, here is the full Duke Nukem Forever mission list.

  • Duke Lives
  • Damn! It’s Late…
  • The Duke Cave
  • Mothership Battle
  • The Lady Killer
  • Vegas in Ruin
  • The Duke Dome
  • The Hive
  • Queen Bitch
  • Duke Nukem’s Titty City
  • Crash Course
  • The Duke Burger
  • The Mighty Foot
  • Ghost Town
  • Highway Battle
  • Dam Top
  • The Shrunk Machine
  • The Forkstop
  • Generator Room
  • Underground
  • The Clarifier
  • Blowin’ the Dam

There is one additional “mission” after the credits, but it’s just a cutscene. Without spoiling anything, Duke teases that he isn’t done yet. However, other than a DLC called The Doctor Who Cloned Me, there are no sequels currently in production. That being said, there is an ongoing fan restoration project for Duke Nukem Forever that hopes to capture the game’s initial vision from its 1996 reveal.
