Super Catboy is Pouncing onto PC in 2022

Developed by the two-person team at Pixelpogo, Super Catboy is an energetic action platformer where you play as the titular character, Catboy. Play as this anthropomorphic cat that’s on a mission to stop its evil creator. In a new dev diary, Thomas Flachs from Pixelpogo gave the first look at Catboy and his gun-touting partner, Weapon Girl, in action along with a release date window. Super Catboy has a high-bit pixel art style inspired by games from the 90s with the platforming gameplay to match. Thomas Flachs has the following to say about the game:

Being born in the 90s and growing up with titles like Megaman X, Super Mario World, and Donkey Kong Country, it was our dream to make a game that we would love to play ourselves. We hope the players have as much fun playing Super Catboy as we had developing it.

As a cat character, you can jump, scratch, dash, and more on your way to beating the Doctor’s army of humanlike dogs. Joining you and Weapon Girl on your adventure through mysterious forests and abandoned factories are catchy tunes and challenging boss fights. And there are bonus stages that include a motorbike chase and wild west duel to mix up the platforming gameplay.
