Dystopian Noir Adventure Backbone Coming to PC in June

Raw Fury and EggNut’s post-noir adventure game, Backbone, allows you to explore a dystopian Vancouver as a raccoon private investigator in a trenchcoat. After years of barely scraping by on small cases and lonely nights, Howard Lotor’s most recent case turns out to be much deeper and darker than he could have imagined. As you explore Vancouver you’ll encounter a variety of characters, who are all also anthropomorphic animals like Howard, who you will question and connect with through elaborate dialogues to try and solve your case. It’s not all talking though, and sometimes you’ll end up in a brawl as you fight against the oppressive hierarchies of the city itself.

Backbone has a high-resolution 2.5D pixel art style paired with 3D visual effects like dynamic lighting and volumetric fog. And as you collect evidence, uncover clues, and solve puzzles, you are accompanied by an original doom jazz soundtrack. Get ready to do some good ol’ fashion detective work in this modern take on the classic point-and-click adventure when Backbone comes to PC on June 8. The game will also have a console release later this year. You can add it to your wishlist now on Steam and GOG, and it will also be available through the Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store.
