Set in the rural backdrop of a South Indian village, Palm Sugar is an award-winning short story-driven RPG from Monotusk Studios. Take on the role of Seenu, a quick-witted yet awkward young man from Bellampakam (palm sugar), on a coming-of-age story full of rustic pixel art and memorable characters.
“We are beyond excited to be bringing Palm Sugar: A Village Story to players all around the world,” said game director Kartheek Raj in the launch day press release. “South Indian culture is steeped in a dense history, filled with beautiful and engaging stories. With Palm Sugar, we want to deliver a story to a Western audience who may be experiencing our history for the first time. Even outside of that, we are confident the story of Seenu will resonate with everyone, as they set off on a journey of self-discovery, redemption, and personal growth.”
