5 Short Games on Xbox Game Pass with Easy Achievements

Share

As the fourth GW&CO Hunt comes to an end, our team has been playing a wide variety of games to bump up our gamerscore and Trophy levels. Some of us tackled longer games, but others (like me) went for something short and simple. Here’s a list of five games that I was able to get to 100% in under 5 hours, which of course means you certainly can too. The games are in order from longest to shortest, though two of them take roughly the same time to complete.

The Walking Dead: Michonne

The Walking Dead: Michonne is not a perfect game but it is a great self-contained story set in Telltale’s The Walking Dead universe. And, just like all Telltale Games, you 100% the game just by playing through the campaign. The game follows Michonne, one of the TV series’ most beloved characters, before she shows up at the end of season 2. While the gameplay is very basic, simply press buttons when prompted, the story of the game is quite emotional and if you allow yourself to fall into it, the choices you have to make become harder as you begin to care more and more about what happens to each character. Completing all 3 episodes of the story will take a little under 4 hours, and all 21 trophies will pop alongside the story by the end. If you want a glimpse at the game past a written review, you can also check out some gameplay here.

Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion

Looking to commit some tax-related crime but with none of the risks? Commit Tax Evasion as Turnip Boy in a small town full of vegetables that were brought to life by some weird radioactive goo that’s never fully explained. With cute art design and a fun story, it’s worth playing this game if you’re looking for a simple, quick game to relax with. Besides of course the post-game Limitless Line, which takes a bit more work. You can unlock many of the 37 achievements while playing through the story, but some are exclusive to after you’ve completed that main storyline, though there is still more to the story after the first ending that you’ll experience as you complete the rest of the achievements. It took me a little over 4hrs to get the full 100%, but I took my time with my first story playthrough which you can view here. If you go in at a quicker pace, you can easily get the 100% in 2-3 hours.

Donut County

Have you ever played the mobile game hole.io? Well, that’s pretty much what Donut County is, but with a fun story about raccoons trying to take over your town in the background! You explore the town with your ever-growing hole as you suck all buildings, animals, and plants alike underground throughout various levels, each with fun small challenges you must complete in order to get all 20 achievements. The simplicity of the game makes it one you can complete with 100% in just 1-2 hours. You can check out my gameplay where I did unlock all 20 achievements here.

Unpacking

These last two games I played on my own time so we don’t have videos for them, but they are also the simplest of the 5 games on this list. Unpacking is a game where you unpack the rooms for a character as they go through the different stages of their life. From dorm rooms to nurseries, you get to get a glimpse at the life of the off-screen main character based on where they are living and what they are taking with them throughout the years. This relaxing game took me about 2 and a half hours to collect all 25 achievements, but the average 100% complete time is 1-2 hours.

Townscaper

The quickest game on the list for last. Townscapers is a peaceful and relaxing game where you get to create a town. Build walls and buildings by clicking and changing colors to create your dream city. There is no story to the game so you can play for as long or as little as you want. Townscapers’ 10 achievements are unlocked by hitting certain milestones and creating different buildings. If you go it alone without a guide it could take you a bit of time to figure out what block placement creates different buildings, but with a guide getting 100% will take you under 30 minutes.

That brings us to the end of this short list of short games on Xbox Game Pass with easy achievements.
