The sequel to the popular social deduction game Deceit is getting a relaunch. From developer World Makers, Deceit 2 was released back in September 2023 to mixed reviews. The team has since been rolling out updates based on player feedback. This relaunch not only holds the last 6 months of improvements, but also sees the game go free-to-play.

Deceit 2 is a multiplayer social deduction horror game where two players are Infected. The Infected must do the bidding of the evil Game Master while the Innocent have to work together to find out who is plotting against them and escape the Ritual.

Along with the zero-dollar price tag, the team has also launched the game’s first premium content expansion. The Werewolf Pack contains the Wyrtorn Terror, the first new Terror since the game’s launch, the Chemist player role, a neutral Curse that must poison all other members of the group to win the Ritual, and the Project Wurgen map.

The relaunch also introduces Seasons, which are events that will bring new unlockables over time. Deceit 2 is now free on PC while it’s in Pre-Season but on April 3, alongside the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S release of the game, Season One will begin. Anyone who purchased the game ahead of the free-to-play model will receive the Werewolf Pack, 3 Crypt Keys, in-game currency, and the Season One Pass for free at launch.
