Horizon: Zero Dawn, Subnautica, and More Will Soon Be Free on PlayStation

Last month, Sony announced that the Play at Home initiative is back, bring free games to PlayStation players around the world to encourage them to stay home and stay safe. The biggest news from last month’s reveal was that Insomniac’s Ratchet & Clank would be free for all in the month of March. Speaking of, if you have not yet picked up the game, you have until the end of the month to do so.

In that announcement PlayStation blog post they said that more news, and more free games, were on the way and they were not lying. Today we have details on the new free games that are part of the Play at Home initiative and when you can start downloading them. To start off, there is the full list of all ten games that will be free to download:

  • Abzu
  • Astro Bot Rescue Mission
  • Enter the Gungeon
  • Horizon: Zero Dawn
  • Moss
  • Paper Beast
  • Rez Infinite
  • Subnautica
  • The Witness
  • Thumper

That is quite an amazing list of games and nine of them, excluding Horizon: Zero Dawn, will be free on the PlayStation Store starting March 25 and will remain free until April 22. In case you didn’t already know, Astro Bot and Moss are VR exclusive titles and Rez Infinite has an optional VR mode though that’s not necessary to play the game. The biggest games on the list are AbzuSubnautica, and, of course, Horizon: Zero Dawn. And to sweeten the deal, Horizon: Zero Dawn comes with all the DLC as part of the Complete EditionHorizon will be free to download starting April 19 and will remain free until May 14.
