C77 Entertainment Announces New Multiplayer FPS Codenamed Project Slingshot
C77 Entertainment, a new game development studio led by industry veterans from EA Dice and 343 Industries, has announced its debut title codenamed Project Slingshot. The team promises a fresh take on the first-person shooter genre with a game that’s set in a world where corporations rule everything. Fight for fame as you compete against other players in objective-based 16v16 battles for an adoring TV audience.
Mattias Kylén, CEO of C77 Entertainment, has worked as Multiplayer Level Lead on maps like Operation Metro, Grand Bazaar, Siege of Shanghai, and more for the Battlefield games. He had the following to say about the new game via the press release:
A new multiplayer IP of this scale is a huge undertaking, and the private Alpha testing gives us the opportunity to test, tweak and improve performance. We’re focused on evolving the genre with ideas we’re excited about, rather than chasing trends which we believe gamers will rightly reject. We want to build our community with honesty and integrity, using the feedback we receive to craft a better FPS which we’re confident gamers will love.”
Project Slingshot is expected to launch in 2023 but the developers are already looking for private Alpha testers.
