Get ready to fight in this new one-hit-kill 1v1 fighter game, developed by Grindstone and Triple Hill Interactive and published by Kwalee. Die by the Blade draws inspiration from legendary titles like Bushido Blade, Way of the Samurai, and the Dark Souls series for both its aesthetic and gameplay. The samurai punk world of Die by the Blade offers multiple ways to play. You can go it alone in the story-driven single-player mode, defeat your friends with local or online multiplayer, or compete against others in online ranked matches.

You’ll get to choose between a wide range of traditional Japanese weapons. Make sure to pick the one that works best for you, because there are no health bars and one wrong moves could be your last. You’ll have to master parrying, have sharp reflexes, and know your weapon’s combos well to stand a chance at defeating your foes.

Features

  • One-hit-kill: All it takes is one slice in tense, one-hit-kill-based combat
  • Choose your playstyle: A diverse array of weapons with different move sets
  • Multiplayer showdowns: Take the battle online with ranked online modes
  • Customization: Tailor your character’s style to the way you see fit
  • Brutal encounters: Dismember your opponents with brutal precision
  • Welcome to samurai-punk: A unique art style that merges a cyberpunk aesthetic with Japanese-inspired themes

Die by the Blade launches on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 3, 2022, and will be coming to Nintendo Switch sometime in 2023. You can wishlist the game on Steam now.
