Planet Zoo is Set to Launch on Consoles This March

Frontier Developments plc has announced the arrival of Planet Zoo: Console Edition. The game offers players an immersive simulated zoo experience with meaningful management, limitless creativity, and authentic animals. Planet Zoo is available for pre-order, which grants access to three exclusive animals: the Pygmy Hippopotamus, Komodo Dragon, and Thomson’s Gazelle.

Planet Zoo: Console Edition brings over four years’ worth of features, content, and animals from the acclaimed PC version. With intuitive console controls, players can nurture an array of species and construct customized habitats, emphasizing animal welfare and conservation. The game offers four engaging modes: Career, Franchise, Challenge, and Sandbox, catering to both strategic management enthusiasts and creative builders alike.

With cross-platform sharing via Frontier Workshop, players can engage with a connected community, downloading and sharing habitats, scenery, and entire zoos, making Planet Zoo: Console Edition a dynamic and collaborative experience for virtual zookeepers worldwide.

Planet Zoo opens its doors for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 26 this year. The base game is priced at $49.99, with a Deluxe Edition available for an additional $10 that includes 16 additional animals and 2 additional scenarios. For the Zoo Zealots, there is also an Ultimate Edition available for $119.99 that includes the Deluxe content plus a Season Pass giving access to the 14 console DLC packs planned for the future.
