In 2025, the world will experience the first open-world mascot management crime drama in Promise Mascot Agency from game studio, Kaizen Game Works (Paradise Killer).

In Promise Mascot Agency players follow Michi, a disgraced yakuza lieutenant, who is exiled to a cursed town, Kaso-Machi, and tasked with reviving a bankrupt mascot agency. As Michi adjusts to his new life, he must transform the agency into a thriving business while uncovering the conspiracy that led to his exile. Accompanied by Assistant Manager Pinky, who is herself a mascot, Michi must navigate the eccentric world, recruiting unique mascots and taking on risky jobs to earn revenue and gain experience.

The game presents a lively open world filled with unique characters and hidden collectibles. Players can explore the town in Michi’s upgradable truck, forming partnerships with local businesses along the way. Mascots, who coexist with humans, have their own goals and desires, requiring players to negotiate for their recruitment. Mascots can be swayed with money, fame, or even rice balls. Once recruited, mascots can be trained and sent out on jobs to make money, gain experience, and spread the name of Promise Mascot Agency. However, danger is always present, with kitchen fires, narrow doorways, and sinister spirits posing threats to the agency’s success. Players then must tactfully use the Hero Cards, which represent various characters Michi will meet across Kaso-Machi, they have collected to help their mascot overcome challenges.

To bring the game’s unique world to life, Kaizen Game Works collaborated with notable Japanese artists and composers. Japanese developer (The Evil Within, Ghostwire: Tokyo) and concept artist Mai Mattori helped design the game’s distinctive setting and characters, while manga artist Inko Ai Takita illustrated the quirky characters in her signature style. The soundtrack features compositions from Irish musician Alpha Chrome Yayo and Japanese industry veteran Ryo Koike (Resident Evil 4 (2023), Ninja Gaiden II), adding to the game’s distinctive atmosphere.

Promise Mascot Agency will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2025. Watch the announcement trailer below.
