Save the Bees in the Cozy Beekeeping Sim APICO

Zoom into the world of bees in APICO, the cozy beekeeping simulator from developer TNgineers and publisher Whitethorn Games. Players will have to gather resources, learn a bit of biology, and play some mini-games in order to create and sustain your colony of beehives while also helping to restore the islands of APICO to their former bee-ridden glory.

As you explore the islands and progress through the game, players will also come across a few forgotten secrets. APICO combines ideas from real-life beekeeping and gardening with fantasy to create a fun and relaxing game that also teaches players a lot about the importance of bees and how to help maintain a healthy hive.

There are over 30 species of bees to collect, breed, and conserve, including the well-known Common Bee and a few lesser-known species such as the Forest Bee and the Verge Bee. Players will also be able to sell their beekeeping products, such as honey and Apicola, in order to help the family business flourish. Work better as part of a hive? Crossplay for up to four players is available no matter what system or site you purchase the game on.

If you’re a fan of Stardew Valley and bees, then you will be happy to know that APICO is available now on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, itch.io, GameJolt, Epic Games Store, Utomik, and Humble Store. You can click here to watch the launch trailer and there is also a free demo available through Steam, itch.io, and GameJolt if you want to try it before you buy it.
