Alone in the Dark from Pieces Interactive is a reimagining of the original 1992 survival horror game. Helmed by Mikael Hedberg, who worked on SOMA and Amnesia: The Dark Decent at Frictional Games, the game features David Harbor and Jodie Comer in the lead roles as Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood. It takes about 8 hours to play through the game’s 5 chapters, which you can find here:
- Chapter 1: Welcome to Derceto
- Chapter 2: The Hateful Mound
- Chapter 3: The Convent of Taroella
- Chapter 4: Derceto
- Chapter 5: The End
Each chapter lasts anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. While it does have its shortcomings, Alone in the Dark is a fun time around the Halloween season. It offers clean visuals and satisfying puzzles along with solid performances from the entire cast.
